Storage for crude oil, intermediate and final products are available in the
refinery and foreshore area. There is also storage capacity for asphalt and
vacuum unit products.
New storage tanks for crude oil & petroleum products were constructed while
others were repaired. The refinery storage capacity exceed one million ton of
crude oil & products. The existing storage capacity for crude oil & products are
as follows:
1) Crude oil - 270,000 ton.
2) LPG - 4000 ton.
3) Naphta - 45,000 ton.
4) Motor spirits - 120,000 ton.
5) Kerosine - 80,000 ton.
6) Gas oil - 130,000.
7) Fule oil - 250,000 ton.
8) Vacuum bottoms and asphalt - 20,000 ton.
9) Intermediate Products - 80,000 ton.
