Since the construction of the refinery, a program was started for training
of local citizens to gain technical knowledge about the refinery equipments and
operations, sufficient to run the refinery in a safe and satisfactory manner.
There is training on the job and training under the supervision of qualified
training officers along with theoretical study in the technical institute.
The trainees who complete the training course in few years are classified
as good technicians in the different discipline of engineering and are
distributed to the different sites in the refinery as required.
